Roman Ziemian has been included in BehindMLM’s DMCA Wall of Shame.
Ziemian, who is a wanted fugitive and co-founder of the defunct FutureNet Ponzi scheme, seems to be attempting to obscure coverage of his illegal activities. Either
Ziemian himself or an associate acting on his behalf submitted two fraudulent DMCA takedown requests against BehindMLM. The initial notice was received on June 18, 2024, followed by a second notice on July 14, 2024.
The approach used for the two fraudulent notices was identical; content was copied and pasted from BehindMLM to a newly established Tumblr blog, with the intention of presenting it as original material.
After receiving Zieman’s DMCA notices, BehindMLM reached out to Tumblr, which swiftly removed the plagiarized content and deactivated the account responsible for it.
This rendered Zieman’s fraudulent DMCA notices ineffective, concluding the matter. The article that Zieman aimed to target was BehindMLM’s report on Zieman’s arrest in Italy, which was published on November 1, 2022.
Zieman’s arrest is tied to his role as a co-founder of FutureNet, a failed MLM cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme.
As of August 2024, it is believed that Ziemian has returned to Dubai. He and Morgenstern moved to Dubai amid numerous collapses of FutureNet.
Ziemian cannot return to his home country of Poland due to an ongoing criminal investigation by Polish officials. In April 2024, Stephan Morgenstern’s wife, Anna, faced criminal charges for money laundering from Albanian authorities and is thought to be in hiding in Dubai.
In March 2024, Albanian authorities gave their approval for Morgenstern’s extradition to South Korea.
Since that time, no additional updates have emerged. The FutureNet Ponzi case in South Korea accuses Ziemian and Morgenstern of embezzling over 160 billion South Korean won, which is approximately $117 million USD. US courts have determined that DMCA notices issued without proper consideration of fair use are filed in bad faith.
According to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, such actions can be classified as perjury and expose the filer to potential lawsuits for damages. Ziemian’s false DMCA notices were specifically intended to obstruct BehindMLM’s continuous coverage of Ziemian’s criminal activities.
A Google search for “Roman Ziemian” displays a multitude of SEO-optimized marketing content, aimed at diminishing the visibility of reports concerning Ziemian’s criminal behavior and arrest.
Due to Zieman’s fraudulent DMCA notices and in accordance with BehindMLM’s DMCA Policy, we are officially placing Zieman on our DMCA Wall of Shame today.
