Bard Liebe, the executive pastor and COO of the Fort Myers Assembly of God, has faced significant corruption charges. Come on, let us discover more about his actions.
Brad Liebe: Church Corruption and the “Citadel”
Brad Liebe began as an Assemblies of God-ordained minister. He was a preacher in Dan Betzer’s AG church in Fort Myers, Florida, and when Betzer retired, he was named Senior Pastor. Brad left the church in shame in 2008. According to allegations, he embezzled about $700,000 from the church, and the Board disguised the gravity of the offence. There was no legal action.
He had his AG ministry qualifications revoked, and he was obliged to apologise to the FL church. He began a restoration program for restored AG ministers, but left before it was completed. Grace International then re-ordained him, and he accepted the job of Pathways Senior Pastor.
What is “Citadel”?
The “Citadel” was the name of the church structure erected by men who placed a greater emphasis on obtaining their own idea of “success” than on the job that God is actually intending to achieve via them.
This structure has grown into a citadel, impeding the activity of the Spirit by tyranny over Him and the utilisation of His work to advance their own interests in terms of power and riches. The Lord specifically emphasises three neighbourhood organisations and how He was helping them develop in size and influence.
He recognized Christ the Rock Community Church, Appleton Alliance, and Pathways as part of the “Citadel.” Many predictions indicating how leadership rather than Christ was in charge were given for each of these particular churches.
Joie Perky, an author, has contacted Appleton Alliance, urging that they halt building on the addition they are about to complete. The author’s remarks about Pathways and Mike’s resignation were kept private, except for a limited circle of close friends. Following that, they moved to Rwanda. Only two months ago, the Lord began to discuss surviving the “Citadel” once more.
He explained how the three churches were embracing a postmodern, humanistic perspective in the same way that our Western church had. They are eliminating the Bible from a position of actual authority and relying on techniques developed by what they believe are successful seeker-sensitive congregations.
The Appleton Alliance is unique in that all that is known about the Pastor is that he is moving away from the ministry of the Spirit of Christ in the Body and that the Alliance will expand as a result of the Valley organizations‘ illness.
On April 6, 2013, the author attended the Pathways church’s Saturday night service to learn firsthand that Pastor Brad Liebe had been fired due to what they termed as “an unethical relationship with another woman.”
Allegations On Brad Liebe
Corruption Charges: At First Assembly of God, Fort Myers
Brad Liebe’s relocation from Fort Myer’s Assembly of God to Pathways Church in Appleton, Wisconsin, in October 2013, resulted in significant corruption. Since then, the problem has not only been neglected and reasoned away, but it has actually become worse and expanded in scope.
At this point, the majority of Fox Valley locals are aware that Brad Liebe lost his position as Pathways’ senior pastor in early April 2013. Brad Liebe had what he described as “an unethical relationship with another woman,” Board President JJ Eaton told a packed auditorium. He told us all not to discuss this because it would be wicked, and he encouraged us to think about and pray for them.
Brad Liebe’s connections with two distinct women, at least one of which lasted more than three years, were not disclosed to the church by JJ and have remained a secret ever since. Furthermore, Brad Liebe has misappropriated church funds from at least one of the two Assemblies of God Church missionaries.
Brad Liebe is suspected of taking $300,000 to $700,000 from a Fort Myers church, which was also kept hidden. The inaccuracies were revealed during an audit, and the Assemblies of God suspended Brad’s credentials as a result. During Brad’s time at Pathways, the board rapidly became aware of these facts but handled them badly.
How did Brad Liebe get the position as Pathways’ Pastor?
Brad was sent to the two-year recovery program that the Assemblies of God provides when a pastor collapses, but he quickly declined. He quickly went to individuals he knew could help him get out of this mess and move forward. After a few weeks, it was determined that he had visited Grace International to obtain new credentials.
Global Executive Grace Arni Jacobson, a former AG Minister and Pastor of Bayside Christian Fellowship in Green Bay, presented Brad Liebe to Mike Randerson as the appropriate candidate for a Pathways Associate Pastor position.
Jacobson also helped Brad Liebe obtain the necessary credentials. All of this happened with no remorse and in direct defiance of his credentialing body.
Liebe and Jacobson, as well as the three AGs Mike contacted to investigate Brad, all lied to Randerson about his embezzlement and extramarital affairs. They quickly depicted Brad Liebe as the victim and accused Pastor Betzer of certain errors, but nothing revealed the totality of the issue.
Randerson’s reliance on these individuals, who corroborated Brad’s spiritual condition, resulted in his appointment to an executive position. Pastor Randerson’s friends included the District Superintendent of the Assemblies of God WNMD and Brad Liebe’s father, Larry Liebe.
Brad Liebe: At Pathways Church, corruption first emerged.
Randerson attempted to discuss these severe allegations with JJ Eaton, president of the Pathways Board, after being approached by several members of the Fort Myers congregation, but was immediately disregarded.
Randerson then went to Brad Liebe and the other Board members, telling them that the problem had been overblown, and they had instead begun to marginalize Randerson, the founder and Pastor of Pathways for more than 25 years.
A riveting story about Tommy’s troubled family was made public and covered by local media. He validated Tommy and Brad Liebe’s sexual contact with the same AG missionary woman, which proved significant to the Pathways Board. He “confessed” and stepped down from his pulpit.
As part of his repentance process, he submitted letters showing Liebe’s adultery as well as certain data about Pathways’ money laundering to the District Assembly of God headquarters. They advised him they could not alert Pathways leadership “out of a sense of legal accountability because Brad Liebe was a dismissed Assemblies of God minister” (Not Biblical), among other things.
He then informed Larry Liebe, who denied it and threatened Pastor Sparger (which was very unbiblical). He told Brad Liebe about it and sought for the Pathways Board’s contact information. Brad Liebe did not respond, but the next day, he removed his staff’s contact details from their website.
Pathways’ books were being overseen by a new accountant at the time. Some argue that what she discovered and then told the Board is what caused Brad’s departure. Thousands of dollars were paid to Larry Liebe from the Pathways account, a large quantity was provided to the AG missionary with whom he was having an affair (he even earned a giving award for this), and thousands of dollars were discovered to have been wrongfully taken.
Brad Liebe: In Fresno, California, Corruption Begins at People’s Church.
Brad Liebe left Pathways at Easter 2013 with the aim of taking a break to work on his failing marriage, but instead ended up at Fresno, California’s People’s Church.
Arni is a member of the Grace International Executive Board, which assisted Brad Liebe in obtaining credentials after avoiding the Assemblies of God’s restoration process, as well as securing the Pathways Pastorate position.
Conclusion
Pastor Dale then immediately promoted Brad Liebe to full-time Chief Operations Officer without following a formal approval process. (He is the only one in charge).
After being promoted to second in leadership, Brad Liebe launched and is in charge of a difficult capital funding campaign for the church totaling $18 million.
Finally, we may say that Brad Liebe has a perverted personality and a weak character. He is deceiving the public by getting money unfairly and setting a negative example for unfair relationships in front of society because he holds such a prestigious position.
You are now fully aware of the circumstances behind Brad’s abuse of authority. What do you make of his character, then?
