James Hickman, a British national, is the CEO of publicly traded Cornerstone FS PLC (AIM: CSFS), according to his LinkedIn profile. The FCA regulates the e-money institution that is its subsidiary, Cornerstone Payment Solutions Ltd. In addition, James Hickman holds a non-executive directorship in the German-Cypriot high-risk payment processor Payabl, which is based in the UK and was established by Dietmar Knoechelmann and Ruediger Trautmann, two former Wirecard executives.

SME-focused is the payment group Cornerstone FS plc. Using a unique cloud-based multi-currency payments technology, it offers electronic account services, foreign payment, and currency risk management. These services are provided on a SaaS basis both directly and through white-label partners. According to a news release, James Hickman has been the CEO since September 2023.
James served as Chief Revenue Officer at Fire Financial Services Ltd., a fintech company located in Dublin, prior to joining Cornerstone. At AIM-quoted Equals plc, he served as Chief Commercial Officer for almost five years, overseeing investor relations, fundraising, and strategic acquisitions.
James was named a non-executive director at Payabl. (UK) Ltd., a division of the payment company Payabl.Cy Ltd. based in Cyprus, in October of 2022.
We do not know whether and which connections between AIM-listed Cornerstone FS and the Payabl Group still exist or which interests James Hickman represents at Payabl. Rumours about a (reverse) takeover have not yet been heard.
